The goal of the Student Nurse Organization is to enhance the development of student nurses as professionals. The club plans activities and events that develop nursing students' understanding of the role of the nurse in today's health-care system, encourage participation in community service projects, facilitate interaction with other Xavier Clubs, and provide a supportive social network for students in the nursing program.

Xavier University’s College of Nursing offers a highly sought-after Direct Admission undergraduate BSN program, endorsed by the American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation (AHNCC). This program prepares professional nurses with a holistic and ethical approach, ready to meet diverse healthcare needs in an ever-evolving environment, and qualified to sit for both the NCLEX and AHNCC certification exams.

Xavier's state-of-the-art clinical simulation laboratories in the new Health United Building supplement students' clinical experiences by providing futuristic learning environments. Using human patient simulators, students have the opportunity to participate in simulated challenging, real-life scenarios.

Students are in practicum placements from 6-12 hours per week in a variety of hospitals and other health-care agencies. Xavier maintains agreements with more than 30 institutions and agencies in the Greater Cincinnati area.
Xavier’s undergraduate Nursing program is housed in the Health United Building (HUB), a space designed to combine academic programs with a modern recreational center and student wellness services.

Jackie Clippinger, Senior Teaching Professor in Xavier’s College of Nursing, guides students with both expertise and empathy, helping them build confidence through hands-on practicum courses that connect classroom learning with real healthcare experience. Through Xavier’s strong partnerships with leading healthcare institutions - including Christ Hospital, Mercy Health, TriHealth, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, and even Cincinnati Public Schools - her students gain diverse, real-world experience and learn what it truly means to care with both competence and compassion.
